Brian ot Jernigan

Bryan Ellsberry has been practicing Occupational Therapy for 24 years. A few years after high school in 1995, Bryan joined the United States Army and did his Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. He then transitioned to the Academy of Health & Sciences at Ft. Sam Houston Texas where he became a Combat Medic. He loved the excitement of waiting for the Huey Helicopter to land and then the rush of strapping down personnel stretchers, buckling himself to his jump seat, then taking off in a Huey while stabilizing the patient. Although an exciting job, he felt like there was something more he needed to do. After a short while as a Combat Medic, he began his training as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and graduated in 1996 near the top of his class. He began work immediately and one year later, applied and was accepted into the Bachelor's of Science Occupational Therapy Program at Barry University in Miami, Florida. He continued to work as an Occupational Therapy Assistant while attending school in Miami, then graduated from his bachelors program in 2000.

After spending his teenage summers working on his Great Grandparents Farm and Graduating from Harrison Central High School, he never really got to see many places. He gives credit to the "Big City of Miami" , and admits that city changed his outlook on people and places forever. Since then, he's traveled across the United States and has worked in Florida, Maryland, Mississippi, Texas and California. If you know him well, you know he's got years of wisdom and a few good stories to tell. ( ask him about the time he Ran with The Bulls in Spain!) Although he's lived all over the United States and briefly in Europe, he's always considered Mississippi his home. He lives in Biloxi with his wife who's a Nurse Practitioner and their two beautiful children.

Bryan takes pride in restoring meaningful, purposeful and quality function back into your life. If there's an area of your life or leisure activities that you feel isn't as good as it use to be, stop on by and see if we can help. As an Occupational Therapist I don't ask....."What's wrong with you?" Instead I ask, "What's important to you? Take care and be well!!
